Sinful people in their hostile and rebellious mindset tend to consider biblical morality as mental chains or bondage; in other words, as putting blocks in people’s minds.
Furthermore, the Bible is deemed as a threat to their freedom to live however they like as well as a threat for them to become comfortable with whom they are at the very core, which relates to their own sinful nature.
Those who are indulging in sexual deviant behaviors often do so because of wanting to feel loved, wanted, and sexy. The reason is that being wanted is such an amazing feeling for them.
Those who had deeply held biblical belief as a result of their upbringing often experience massive amount of guilt when engaging in behaviors contrary to their belief.
They’ve become guilt-ridden as a result since their belief is deeply embedded in their minds. Many try to do their best to get rid of that guilt in order for them to no longer have any guilty conscience about what they do. Their conscience has become seared with the kind of lifestyle they are leading.
Their belief is wrapped around the notion that guilt comes from religion. And doctrines that are against their sinful behaviors are always based on misinterpretation of whatever book they are getting them out of.
In their belief, they strive to break what they regard as the chain of indoctrination. When they finally reach a pivotal point in which their biblical belief is dissolved, they feel liberated while surrendering themselves to a life of bondage.
Sinful people always want to be around those that will make them feel at home. Those that won’t alienate them with the truth. They desperately want to become comfortable with themselves in the sense of finding themselves and become at ease with whom they think they are on the inside, particularly with their sexuality.
Excitement toward sexual behavior literally get your heart rate to climbs up but then it shoots down and a calming comes over you.
Your physical body isn’t some piece of meat that anybody can come and gorge on for the sake of trying to satisfy their lust or for the sake of trying to make money out of it.
Men view women as commodity, and women view men as predatory.
People are inclined to blame the devil in order to remove their guilt, justify their actions, and ignore their responsibility and the things God wants to teach them through their suffering.
Today, regardless of the various external sources of temptation (Satan and the world), the final source is our own sinful nature or the lusts of self-centered desires of our own hearts (Jam. 1:14-15). In Christ, by virtue of the finished work and victory of the Savior, we are victors; He has provided everything we need to defeat sin and Satan
