There’s power in baptism.
Again, His body delivered us from ourselves so that we can live well and be fruitful for God. We cannot deliver ourselves. We cannot just decide to die to ourselves and live for God.
Only by relying on the truth of His death, that our body of sin died with His body on the cross (Romans 6:6), can we walk free from our sinful passions which are aroused when we say no to them or try to impose law on them.
Application: I stand on the truth that my body of sin died with Jesus’ body on the altar of the cross.
By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the BODY of Jesus Christ once for all (Hebrews 10:10).
In (Hebrews 10:10), we see the same theme for the body of Christ delivered up for us. His body was delivered up for us to set us apart from sin.
The key to experiencing deliverance from sin is to realize and get a revelation of what is true about ourselves because of the cross. Trying to be crucified with Christ is works.
Realizing the truth about myself in Christ is grace through faith. Certainly I need to want to repent. But, I must also realize that I cannot deliver myself, or crucify myself with Christ. He included me in His death by grace and therefore I AM dead to sin.
By revelation from the Spirit of God, become convinced of the truth about yourself now that you are in Christ. Accept the grace of God. Stop trying to be what you already are. Grace has changed what you are. Learn to live from the victory, not for the victory.
Application: I stand on whom I am in Christ Jesus as someone who has been crucified and died with Him. As a result, I’m delivered from myself.
Death is God’s solution for our sin problem! The solution is our death with Christ so that He may raise us up as new creations. God does not try to remake our old man or our flesh. Romans 6 and many other scriptures make this point very clear.
Furthermore, we cannot rid ourselves of our body of sin. We cannot die to self on our own; we can only want to die to self. By grace through faith, we are included in His death.
Admittedly, our death with Christ is not a glamorous proposition. You cannot market this death to the world. Yet it is the essence of our deliverance from the power of sin.
We go no where in the kingdom without accepting our death with Christ. We can go almost anywhere by accepting it. There are great rewards on the resurrection side of the Cross.
The rock solid truth that I am dead to sin in Christ is the cross in my life.
- I was crucified with Christ on the cross.
- God judged my sinfulness in Christ.
- Therefore, I’m dead to sin in Him.
- I was then buried with Him.
I’ve received the power of my crucifixion, death, and burial with my Savior and Lord Christ Jesus, which is the essence of my deliverance from the power of sin.
The good news of the Gospel is that…
- I was resurrected to a new life in Him.
- I ascended into heaven through Him.
- I’m now seated with God Almighty on His throne through Christ Jesus in the heavenly realms in the place of supreme glory far above principalities, powers, dominions, the world, and the flesh.
God has integrated me in His own divinity as the supreme God of the universe. He has provided me all of these through Christ by means of His grace and mercy.
Through the rebirth, I have the divinity of God, His divine fabric in me. By the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit, I’ve become a living extension of God in whom His life, presence, authority, power, and glory can flow mightily.
He has given me the opportunity to take on His divine nature, which is immutable.
The enemy fears the power of God in you.
Therefore, I humbly accept and receive by faith the truth of my holy and righteous condition and standing in Jesus through my complete union with Him. I am One with Him in Spirit.
I am born of God, which gives me the power to overcome sin. I’m His righteousness in Christ. I am re-created in the image and likeness of God.
I stand on the full inheritance of His finished work on the cross.
The regeneration of the spirit is instantaneous and qualifies you for heaven by changing your nature from human to divine, from Adamic to Christlike.
Adam was a manifestation of one of the seven Spirits of the Lord. He failed miserably by rebelling against His Creator.
Jesus Himself as the second Adam is the complete manifestation of all the seven Spirits of the Lord. He succeeded greatly in His mission to redeem mankind where the first Adam failed.
Application: Grace works on the basis of accepting, receiving, and embracing what was already done by God through Christ by standing on the truth of it revealed through the Word of God by faith.
- My crucifixion with Jesus delivers me from myself.
- My death and burial with Him delivers me from the power of sin.
- My resurrection, ascension, and glorification in Him seals my victory.
Your Lord then came as the Supreme manifestation of the sum-total combination of all the Seven Spirits of God put together.
1) The Spirit of the LORD
2) The Spirit of wisdom
3) The Spirit of understanding
4) The Spirit of counsel
5) The Spirit of power
6) The Spirit of knowledge
7) The Spirit of the fear of the Lord
Your Lord Jesus Christ is the perfect fill strength of the Seven Spirits of God in total consummation. Behold, your Lord Jesus Christ is the Perfect God; the Per feet Son of God; and, verily, He is the Perfect Son of Man.
I learnt from the Lord that when His Spirit takes a human form to live in the world of man, the word of such an empowered Divine representative of God prevails over all the elements of nature.
