The testimony of Emmanuel Ammos.
You are snared by the words of your mouth. You are taken by the words of your mouth (Proverbs 6:2).
Therefore, the child of God must be careful to confess the Word of God, which God has promised He will hasten to perform. There are three confessions stated in the Word of God:
1. Confession of the Lordship of Christ
2. Confession of faith in the Word, in Christ and in God the Father
3. Confession of sin
When we hear the word “confession,” we easily think of sin. The dictionary definition of confession is:
1. Affirming something we believe
2. Testifying to something that we know
3. Witnessing of a truth we have embraced
It is therefore to be regretted that whenever we use the word confession some minds run to sin.
The author is here encouraging the child of God to start today to confess what God has said.
You who were dead in trespasses had God quickened together with Christ and He has raised you up together and made you sit in heavenly places (far above principalities and powers) in Christ Jesus.
Christians should therefore realize where they are seated. They should know that they are operating from that height, above Satan and his agents.
The Lord Jesus Christ has given you all powers and authority just as He has given you all that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
God never intended that circumstances should control His children, rather that the Word of God in the mouth of the Christian should control his circumstances.
God spoke in Jeremiah 23:29 saying: “Isn’t my Word like fire and like a hammer that shatters rock? declares the Lord.”
Christians, I mean born again Christians, should realize that when the name of Jesus is pronounced, what comes out of their mouth is fire.
When a Christian stands on the authority given him by Christ and gives a command in Jesus name, fire pours out of his mouth and any demon controlling the circumstances must obey.
Jesus is alive today to see that every Word of His comes to pass. Again, I want to highlight an important fact many Christians overlook, and which Satan is using. Jesus, after Peter pointed out to Him the dried fig tree cursed by the Lord, said:
Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer (Matthew 21:21-22).
“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11: 22-23).
Here the Lord points out to us the power of the spoken Word and also encourages the Christian to be specific in his prayers and in exercising his authority.
Some Christians ask the mountain to move but do not tell the mountain WHERE to go. Jesus said if you shall say to the mountain: “Be removed and be cast into the sea…”
Let us take the case of casting out demons for instance. Some Christians bind and cast out demons without sending them to specific destinations.
This is dangerous. When you bind a demon it is bound. If you cast it out without sending it to a specific destination, it remains within the vicinity.
If the demon is only rebuked out of a man, he may later come back or enter into anyone around who is not a Christian.
Therefore Christians should be careful when dealing with demons. Make sure the demon is bound, cast out and sent to a specific destination, (and forbid to enter again).
Some Christians while praying would say: “I arrest you demons in Jesus’ name.” In the spirit world you really see demons standing erect waiting for the next command.
But if the Christian stops at that point, he has not helped the victim. Do not play around with the devil. You don’t play around with your enemy.
God has sent you out on a ministry of deliverance and reconciliation (reconciling men to God). Therefore you must be careful to do a thorough work.
I repeat, when you bind a demon, it is bound. When you cast it out to any destination it is so.
As long as you do not meddle with sin but live in the will of God, whatever command you give the devil or his agents in the name of Jesus must be obeyed.
God has promised to back up every Word of His.
1. “You are complete in Him which is the head of ALL principality and power” (Colossians 2: 10).
2. “Behold, I give you power (authority) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
3. Anyone attacks you, it is not from me; whoever attacks you will fall before you (Isaiah 54:15).
No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper: and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me (Isaiah 54:17).
The Name Of Jesus
When you issue a command in the name of Jesus, you invoke the very Entity Himself behind that name to act as He wills.
In other words, you simply stand behind the supreme authority, power, and dominion operating under that Entity which He has given all who believe in Him access to.
The Father has delegated everything to the Son. All authority and power has been given to Jesus by the Father.
Everything the Father has belongs to the Son. In fact, He’s the Agent through whom the Father fulfills His will.
Since He’s supreme over all creation; His name is a direct representation of whom He is as a being who is coequal as the Father; a being who is an exact imprint of God the Father; a being who shares the same glory, the same shining greatness as God the Father; therefore, His name has absolute authority, power, and dominion over everything.
It’s not just all about the name only, but about the very person who stands behind it.
If Jesus is the Word of God, His responsibility is to decree the will of God by speaking it into existence at the consent of the Father.
(Since the name of Jesus is the name of the living God Himself which He later gave to the Son as a gift, it’s clear that the name of Jesus was used when the Son spoke all things in existence in order to activate and unleash the power of God Almighty).
The Holy Spirit is responsible to establish, enforce, and materialize the will of God.
As Scripture declares it, God has exalted His Word above all His name, it means that the very Entity, the Son of the living God who stands behind the name of Jesus is exalted above all the name of God Himself.
The glorified Son as the Word of God, the very embodiment of God’s will, the very Agent through whom He created all things is exalted above the name of Jesus due to the fact that God cannot go against His Word.
He’s exalted above God’s own authority, power, dominion, and reputation. He’s exalted above all things.
At last, the person who stands behind that name is exalted above the supreme authority, power, and dominion that comes with that name.
The Word Of God
The Word reveals something fundamental that was already there with and in God eternally.
The Word is an expression and revelation of the nature and character of God Almighty. It’s an expression of how God operates.
The Word that comes out of the mouth of God emanates from the very core of His being reveals whom He is as the supreme God of the universe. The Word is an extension of Himself, the embodiment of Himself.
It’s the revelation of eternal principles that are connected to His existence. These principles govern how He operates.
The Word calls forth something that was already there.
It calls forth the provision, power, and authority of God.
If I stand on the Word and decree a command, it will trigger an instant reaction in the spiritual realm right away.
God Exalts His Word
For You have exalted Your Word above all Your name (Psalm 138:2b).
According to Hebrew custom, the “name” of someone referred to his authority and reputation. Thus, the name of God refers to His authority and reputation, just as the name of Jesus refers to his authority and reputation. That is why today we pray in the “name” of Jesus Christ, we pray according to His authority.
God exalted His Word above all other things that are under His authority, even His authority itself. God exalted His Word above His very name.
God’s Word and His authority are exalted above all Creation, and that is certainly true.
The Psalms record that God has magnified His Word so high that it is even above the name of Jesus. He says “for You have magnified Your Word above all Your name.”
Think about that for a minute. This means that the Bible is even above the name of Jesus in the eyes of God.
In other words, the Word of God is the final authority not just for us mere human beings, but God Himself is in subjection to it. God operates according to what declared by Him in His written Word.
God’s Revelation
Son speak My Word and prophesy against the boil and pain upon your body. And say thus says the Lord. Henceforth, you shall cease to be upon where you are kept by the enemy.
The Lord says it’s imperative for you as a child of God to be able to hear the voice of God, otherwise you will be outsmarted by the enemy.
You must not run away from the enemy. You must fight him since you have all power.
Declaring the Word of God over your home, your family has power.
There are so many of my people laboring without fruit in the field because they are not rising up to use the authority they have to overcome the power of darkness in their territories.
No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel. For now, it will be said of Jacob, ‘What wonders God has done for Israel!’ (Numbers 23:23)
